Call to Worship - Psalm 121: 1-8

(view video link of reading below)

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.
The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Songs of Praise & Adoration

This Is My Father’s World    (audio link)

(verse 1)
This is my Father’s world, and to my listening ears
All nature sings, and ’round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world.
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas,
His hand the wonders wrought.

(verse 2)
This is my Father’s world, should my heart e’er be sad
The Lord is King! Let the heavens ring.
God reigns let earth be glad.
This is my Father’s world.
From shining courts above,
Came the Holy One, God’s only Son,
A pledge of God’s great love.

(verse 3)
This is my Father’s world, O let me ne’er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world.
The battle is not done.
Jesus who died shall be satisfied,
And earth and heaven be one.

May the Peoples Praise You    (video link)

(verse 1)
You have called us out of darkest night,
Into Your glorious light,
That we may sing the wonders of the risen Christ.

(verse 2)
May our every breath retell the grace
That broke into our strife,
With boundless love and deepest joy, with endless life.

(chorus)
May the peoples praise You!
Let the nations be glad!
All Your blessing comes that we may praise,
May praise the Name of Jesus.

(verse 3)
All the earth is Yours and all within,
Each harvest is Your own,
And from Your hand we give to You to make Christ known.

(verse 4)
May the seeds of mercy grow in us
For those who have not heard.
May songs of praise build lives of grace to spread Your Word.

(verse 5)
This our holy privilege to declare
Your praises and Your name
To every nation, tribe and tongue, Your church proclaims.

(bridge)
Holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.
Worthy, worthy is the Lamb who was slain!
Holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.
All creation praise Your glorious name!

Confession

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 1:3-7

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and blameless before Him.
In love He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ,
according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace,
with which He has blessed us in the Beloved.
In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.

There Is a Fountain    (audio link)

(verse 1)
There is a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Immanuel’s veins,
And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains.
Lose all their guilty stains, lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains.

(verse 2)
The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day,
And there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away.
Wash all my sins away, wash all my sins away,
And there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away.

(verse 3)
Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood shall never lose its pow’r,
Till all the ransomed Church of God be saved to sin no more.
Be saved to sin no more, be saved to sin no more,
Till all the ransomed Church of God be saved to sin no more.

(verse 4)
E’er since by faith I saw the stream, Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme and shall be till I die.
And shall be till I die, and shall be till I die,
Redeeming love has been my theme and shall be till I die.

Praying for One Another

1 John 4:15-18 says, “By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in Him, and He in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

Let’s go to the Lord together in prayer:

  • Thank God for His love for us in sending His Son and for giving us His Spirit.
  • Pray that God would stir our hearts to abide in Him more this week.
  • Continue to pray for the physical and financial needs of others in our church family.
  • Continue to pray for God to show us, by His Spirit how we can best show the love of Christ to our family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers during this time of isolation.
  • Continue to pray for the health, physical, and financial needs of our missionary families.
  • Continue to pray for Pastor Weyland, Jesse, and our elders as they make decisions on how to best lead and serve our congregation.
  • Continue to pray that God would give wisdom and guidance to our national, state, and local government leaders as they make decisions on ways to best reopen our nation and economy.

Song of Hope & Assurance

Amazing Grace    (audio link)

(verse 1)
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound! That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found. was blind, but now I see.

(verse 2)
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear, the hour I first believed.

(verse 3)
Thro' many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come.
'Tis grace that brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

(verse 4)
When we've been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise, than when we first begun.
